Sample Prayer For Salvation
"Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ, died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen."

History of Our Church
We first assembled in 1906 with a small congregation having a strong desire to live a life of holiness. In 1913, this small group of believers joined with the Church of the Nazarene denomination and became The East Rockaway Church of the Nazarene.
Through the years, we have continued to grow spiritually and numerically. Members have remained committed to reaching out to the surrounding community.
Today, we look to the future with an ever-increasing sense of excitement and great expectations of the mighty things God is going to do in, and through us.
We continue to hold firm the importance of carrying out the Great Commission. This we are very confident of "...that He who has begun a good work in us will complete it, until the day of Jesus Christ". (Philippians 1:6)
Our Denomination
We are part of the International Church of the Nazarene, founded on faith in the Word of God. In today's rapidly changing world, the East Rockaway Nazarene proclaims God's grace and hope to the needy human heart.
Born in a Revival
The Wesleyan revival that saved 18th Century England from revolution, reaffirmed the testimony and experience of the Early Church, that God is able to forgive man's sins and cleanse his heart from all unrighteousness. A revival of this message in the United States, toward the close of the 19th Century, led to the formation of congregations that banded together in 1908, as the Church of the Nazarene.
