Powerful God

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse. Romans 1:20 As a child, I loved watching the famous painter Bob Ross on television. His unique style of painting and sense of humor captured the hearts of many people. In quite a few episodes, he spoke about God being the Master Painter of all creation. It’s true when you really think about it. Paintings don’t just evolve, there needs to be a painter for a painting to exist. In the same way, creation didn’t just evolve, there needed to be a Creator for creation to exist. In Romans 1:20, the Apostle

His Agony for our Gain

There is a saying that I am sure we have all heard, especially in the gym. It is, "no pain - no gain." In Matthew 26:38, Jesus said, "My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me." Jesus took His disciples, after celebrating the Passover with them, to the Garden of Gethsemane. Gethsemane means "oil press." It was in this garden that Jesus would be pressed into what He had come to earth to do. Jesus was not in agony of physical death. He was God and no one could take His life permanently. No, Jesus was in agony because He knew that He would have to take on the sins of mankind, past, present and future. Here Jesus, who never sinned, was going to ha

Follow Him

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12 Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube are just a few of the hottest social media websites out there. Millions of people have signed up to these particular sites for different reasons. Some may do it just to stay in contact with family and friends. While others may do it in the hope that people will follow them and they could become rich and famous. Celebrities also have their own pages to stay connected with their fans. There’s nothing wrong with being a part of these outlets, unless it consumes your life. The obsession with fol

We Have an Anchor

"This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God's inner sanctuary. Jesus has already gone in there for us. He has become our eternal High Priest in the order of Melchizedek". Hebrews 6:19-20 An anchor is only good as long as it is holding the boat or ship in place. These anchors at times do fail - they will not hold the boat in place in rough seas at times. As children of God, we have such an anchor. His name is Jesus Christ. As we travel through this life, each one of us will at one time go through the storms of life. It is just part of living on this earth. But our anchor will never fail and it will never let us down because

God Hears Every Prayer.

Is anyone crying for help? God is listening, ready to rescue you. Psalm 34:17 MSG Daily, God surprises me and answers my prayers. Even in the smallest of requests such as “Lord where did I put …” And He helps me find things. He also undertakes for requests I make regarding people, family members, and the list goes on. He does this so that I know without a shadow of a doubt that He hears every conversation I have with Him. There are requests I make of Him that are huge and do not always get fulfilled immediately. But by Him answering me in my daily small struggles He is showing me that everything is heard and He will help me through whatever valley I will go through. Do you ever wonder
