Going...and At Times Not Knowing Where You Are Going

Acts 20:22 "And now behold, bound in spirit, I am on my way to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there." The Apostle Paul spoke these words to the Ephesian Elders. The Holy Spirit was telling Paul what awaited him when he would arrive at Jerusalem. God wanted Paul to go to Jerusalem. In Acts chapter 16, we read that the Holy Spirit prevented Paul and Timothy to speak the Word in Asia. Acts 16:6 "And they passed through the Phrygian and Galatian region, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the Word in Asia." When we as Christians are listening to the Lord, then we will be in His will and not doing what we feel is right. This is key in our daily living for Jesus. J

God in Charge

And keep the charge of the Lord your God: to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, His commandments, His judgments, and His testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn. 1 Kings 2:3 One of my favorite television shows as a kid was “Charles in Charge.” It was about a college student named Charles that had a side job as a nanny of three children. Emmanuel, God With Us

Psalm 23:4a “Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me.” Harvey, Irma, Jose, Sandy, Katrina, and the list goes on of hurricanes, fires and earthquakes, threatening everything we know and hold dear. They come sweeping in at speeds promising to destroy everything in their path. Yet God says we need not be afraid. God assured Moses He would be with him as he led the Israelites to the Promised Land, God said, “I will personally go with you, Moses, and I will give you rest – everything will be fine for you” (Exodus 33:14b NLT) Moses replied. “If you don’t personally go with us, don’t make us leave this place.” (Exodus 33:15b, He speaks of

Let God Be Our Guide

"For this is God, Our God forever and ever; He will be our Guide even to death." Psalm 48:14 In our world today there are different ways to get us to our destinations. We can input our destinations into our smart phones or we can use a map and plan our route that way. These things may help us get to where we are going but they cannot help us in the Spiritual realm. The way of our God is by Faith in Jesus as we read the Bible. All through Scripture, we can see that God promises us that He will be our Guide and He will be our protector. What God says in His Word will come to pass. Our part is to follow Him. That is the difficult part for us at times. When we say we are going to follow the
