God Is In Control

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! Psalm 46:10 We live in a crazy world. Every day the news is constantly reporting on horrible events that have an impact on our culture. As Christians, it’s important for us to cling to the Lord and trust in Him. The world may be spinning out of control, but we must always remember that God is in control. Our faith in God will help us through these difficult times. Psalm 37:40- And the Lord shall help them and deliver them. He shall deliver them from the wicked and save them because they trust in Him. When we trust in God that’s when He will deliver and save us. It doesn’t matter what is

What Great Love Our God Has For Us

1st John 3:1 "See how very much our Father loves us, for He calls us His children, and that is what we are." Isn't that a great Scripture - Our Father loves us and He calls us His children. In the natural, we do not call other people's children our children - but here in the Spiritual, God calls us His very own children. What an encouraging statement, that the God of this entire universe should call us His children. Our Lord loves us so much that He wants to pour out His many blessings upon us, His own possession. The world cannot understand this because, as of yet, they don't know what real love is. But God loves us so much that He asked Jesus to die for us so that we could be in a right

An Invisible Yet Powerful Guard

From one moment to the next, our thought patterns change. The original outlook we had for the year, the day or moment is changed in an instant. How can it be possible that from one moment to the next the “truth” we knew in our minds is changed to a different “truth?” I like to think that my mind is focused on Christ and His plans for my life or even my day are “set in stone” but that is false thinking. Peter, a disciple willing to do anything for Christ one moment and then in the next, he denied Christ. In one moment Peter is open to the fresh revelations from God and then we find him descending to the valley of being in denial. If the thoughts of humans and the purpose of Satan could ta

Walk in Forgiveness

21 Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.” Matthew 18:21-22 I once heard a story about a boy named Timmy. While playing soccer one day, he was knocked down by a bigger boy. When Timmy went to get back up, the same kid pushed him down again. It was at that moment Timmy felt a burning sensation on his knee and when he looked down that’s when the blood started to flow out of it. His father was there to put medication on it and bandaged him up. However, everywhere Timmy went he would tell people the story of how he got hu

Trust in the Lord

Nahum 1: 7 "The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him.” Nahum was an Old Testament prophet whose name means "comfort" and he wrote to bring comfort to the southern kingdom of Judah. His words still bring comfort to all believers everywhere. Nahum speaks about trust in our opening verse. Trust means that we depend on someone or something to help us in our journey here on earth. For those who have not yet come to the saving faith of Jesus, this trust maybe in their jobs or their bank account. But for us who have been redeemed and understand how much Jesus loves us, our trust is in the Lord and in His Word. By trusting in the Lord, we begin to grow
