Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18 I’ll never forget the first sermon I ever preached. It was in a preaching course at Nyack College. I was so excited to preach that pride started to fill my heart. I thought my sermon was going to be the best; however, it was a disaster. It was the shortest message ever ministered and I gave no eye contact to the audience because I read my notes the whole time. Do you ever feel as if you are on a journey and your life seems as if you keep going down “dead end streets?” Your situations are never resolved.
