Prayers Answered

The Lord is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous. Proverbs 15:29 It is so comforting to know that God hears the prayer of the righteous (believers). I understand that many people get frustrated when their prayers aren’t answered right away, but you must realize that God answers in His timing not ours. Then there are times when God is not answering your prayer for a specific reason. An example would be when the person praying doesn’t have faith that God will answer, but their prayer is based off of wishing that God will do something instead of believing that He will do something. The act of wishing is hoping that maybe something will happen. The act of believing is

Pleasing God with Our Faith

Hebrews 11:6 "And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him." For the Lord's born again children, we must have faith and believe that who Jesus says He is, He is. Scripture tells us that without faith, we cannot please God and with our faith in Jesus, we are to continue to seek Him. To accomplish pleasing our Lord, we must be willing to come to Him in His way and also to believe in Him. We also need to seek Jesus in all things of our life. Not only when the going gets difficult – no, in all areas of our life are we to seek the Lord. We cannot say, "Well, I go to Church on Sunday and so I a

Exodus 12:36 There are times in life when we face circumstances that overwhelm us. The problems that arise in our lives sometimes can be due to non-believers treating us badly. In the Book of Exodus, the Israelites were treated so badly by the Egyptians. However, despite this major hurdle, God intervened for His people. What did He do? The Lord gave the Israelites favor in the sight of the Egyptians. This is when God delivered them from the land of Egypt through the parting of the Red Sea. Maybe some of you today need God’s favor in your ow

I Trust in You, Jesus

Psalm 143:8 ""Let me hear Your loving-kindness in the morning; for I trust in You; Teach me the way in which I should walk; for to You I lift up my soul." This Psalm was written by David and he tells us a few things that are a great help in our journey of life with Christ. First, David says that he wants to hear the Lord's loving-kindness in the morning. Each morning most of us are awakened by the alarm clock and we begin to move. It is then our thoughts should turn to Jesus. Lord, we to want to hear of Your love towards us. We can do this by saying "Good morning Lord. Thank You for another day to serve You." That is a good discipline to get into; thanking God for His love and His kind
