Faith

"For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from Faith to Faith; as it is written, The just shall live by Faith.”

Romans 1:17

Faith has been defined as "confidence in the testimony of another." We are a Blessed people because our faith is in the only true God, our Lord and Redeemer Jesus Christ.

I am always amazed at what people will put their faith in such as their job, money, the Government, spouses, etc. All of these are temporal. As Christians, we look toward to the eternal, Jesus.

We are Blessed because in Jesus we have all the Spiritual Blessings. In Christ, we have an inheritance which is incorruptible and undefiled and will not fade. Isn't that great news for us! Every believer in Jesus is absolutely accepted, saved and sealed. And it is given to us at no cost to us, but it cost Jesus a lot.

We cannot work for Faith or pay for it. It is a free gift from the Lord. Our God has saved us by Faith, we walk by Faith, and we live by Faith.

Habakkuk says in 2:4b "But the just shall live by his Faith." This is quoted three times in the New Testament in Romans, Galatians and Hebrews.

God is trying to get the point that it is only by Faith in Jesus that we are saved, delivered and move in Him. Our Faith in Jesus is what gets us into heaven and by our Faith we stand before God in confidence because we have been made complete or perfected in Jesus.

Be thankful today that you sought out the Lord and are a new creation in Him. There is nothing that we could have done. God took our sins and dirty clothes and forgave those sins and gave us a brand new set of clothes.

Why did Jesus go to the Cross? Because He loves us and by His shed blood our sins have been forgiven and forgotten. The hymn, "Jesus Paid It all," says it all: “Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe; sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow.”

Let us always be thankful to the Lord and to tell others about His saving Grace and Mercy. Amen.
