Our God Keeps His Promises

Without wavering, let us hold tightly to the hope we say we have, for God can be trusted to keep His promise. Hebrews 10:13

Church, we know that a promise is only as good as the person who makes it. And as we are a work in progress, there are times when we have promised something and we cannot keep that promise. Sometimes it cannot be helped due to circumstances beyond our control that a promise is broken. It could be for many good reasons that we are just not able to keep a promise to someone.

BUT God! Our God will always keep His promises to us. He never failed to fulfill His Word and that is why it is so important for us to understand how much God loves us. God says that we can enjoy life here on earth to the full and that we will spend eternity with Him in heaven when we leave this earth. The Bible is filled with God's promises. But it doesn't matter how many promises God has given us. What matters is that we know our God will keep every one of them.

As people, we at times just cannot keep our promises, no matter how we try. It is comforting to know that Our God is able and has the power to keep ALL of His promises to us. We can trust the Lord to do that which He said He would do! He is Truthful, Faithful, and can be Trusted. Put your hope in the God who never changes, who loves you with a love that cannot be put into words.

What is our responsibility?

We are to obey the Lord. If we have asked God for something and He has not yet provided the answer, continue to seek His face.

Believe the Lord.

We need Faith. The Scripture says in Hebrews 11:6, So, you see, it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that there is a God and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him.

Take His promises to heart.

When we know that God cannot lie, we then can be confident to hold onto His promises. God doesn't change His Word. If He said it, than it will come to pass.

God knows us and He knows every detail of a situation that we are going through. He will never leave us. He is always there even when we don't feel Him. God is sovereign over all that He has created.

Our Lord can be trusted - so trust Him!
