Trust in the Lord

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5

This Scripture is a familiar one and many people are able to quote it, but do they truly trust in Jesus? Trust is such an important part of human relationships and so also with our God. Our God is concerned with every area of our lives. Jesus came to give us abundant life and we need to trust that when Jesus says something, all that the Lord spoke in Scripture will come to pass.

Life here on Earth, at times, is like a roller coaster - one moment we are basking in the sun light, and the next moment, we are surrounded by trials. This will happen, but it is how we handle all these times that will make us a joyful Christian. When difficult or easy decisions have to be made, put your trust in the Lord.

Never doubt that God is not near us for He is. He knows what is best for us and our task is to Trust in Him. When King David was going through his trials between his own counselor and his son Absalom, David wrote in Psalm 56:4, "In God, whose Word I praise, in God I Trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?"

He will get you through, trust and believe, no matter what you are going through. We must be very careful not to trust in our own ideas. Our emotions can mislead us. But we are admonished in Scripture to Trust wholly upon our Lord; our Redeemer and Lord.

Trust is so important, but when we read this Proverb, we need to also acknowledge God in some things; NO in ALL things. What happens when we do this? The Word of God says that God will make our paths straight... no bumps, no detours.

So in ALL things trust the Bible and the Lord to direct our lives. Through prayer and God's promise, He will lead us into good pastures and He will protect us; Always. Amen.
