Call Upon God
Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.
I’ve recently been watching old reruns of the game show, “Who Wants to be a Millionaire.” The contestant’s goal is to correctly answer 15 questions. If this is achieved, the person wins a million dollars; however, if they’re wrong on one question, then they lose. Each contestant is given three lifelines at the beginning of the game. What’s a lifeline? It’s something that will help the person if they don’t know the answer. One of the lifelines they can use is called “Phone a friend.” This allows the contestant to call up a friend or family member on the telephone for assistance to the question.
Many times in life we are faced with a problem that we don’t know how to answer. It’s in those times that we need to make God our phone a friend lifeline. In Jeremiah 33:3, God tells us if we call upon Him that He will answer and show us things which we do not know. If you don’t know the answer to the problem that you’re facing today, then call upon God and He will answer you by revealing the truth to you. Not only will He give you the answer, but He will also deliver you.
Psalm 91:15- He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
God will be with you in times of trouble. He will deliver you from your circumstances. All you have to do is call upon Him. We serve such an awesome God! He doesn’t have to be with us in times of trouble. He doesn’t have to deliver us from our circumstances. He doesn’t have to answer us when we call upon Him. However, He does all of these things because of His love for us. In acknowledging His love for you and His power to deliver you after calling upon Him, that’s when you’ll desire to glorify Him.
Psalm 50:15- Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.
Remember that when you’re in trouble you can always call upon God.
Remember that when you're in trouble you can always call upon God.
