Happy Ending

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

Many of you know that I LOVE classic TV shows such as; The Brady Bunch, Leave It to Beaver, The Andy Griffith Show, and the list goes on. One of the major reasons I enjoy these programs so much is because at the end of each episode the problem that the main character was facing is resolved. A perfect example would be from The Brady Bunch. There’s an episode when Marcia tells her friends that she could get Davy Jones to perform at their school prom. However, she has a difficult time contacting him and it looked as if she was going to disappoint everyone. The good news is though in the end everything worked out and Davy Jones did perform at her prom.

In Romans 8:28 we find that “all things work together for good”, which means that everything will work out for you. Your life is like a classic TV show. You’re the main character that will encounter hardships. However, here’s the good news; God is the producer. He has already written out how your episode will end.

Psalm 139:16- Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written the days fashioned for me. When as yet there were none of them.

Even before you were born, God knew how your life was going to turn out. He knows everything that you will ever deal with and He knows the end result. He wrote your story which means that He’s in control of your life.

It’s important to remember that even though you’re the main character, God is still in control of the show. He has given you a script to follow. What’s the script? It’s His Word! When you study and follow the script (His Word), that’s when your episode will turn out victorious for you.

Joshua 1:8- This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

If God is the producer (the Lord) of your show (your life), then you will have a happy ending.
