I Trust in You, Jesus

Psalm 143:8 ""Let me hear Your loving-kindness in the morning; for I trust in You; Teach me the way in which I should walk; for to You I lift up my soul."

This Psalm was written by David and he tells us a few things that are a great help in our journey of life with Christ.

First, David says that he wants to hear the Lord's loving-kindness in the morning. Each morning most of us are awakened by the alarm clock and we begin to move. It is then our thoughts should turn to Jesus.

Lord, we to want to hear of Your love towards us. We can do this by saying "Good morning Lord. Thank You for another day to serve You." That is a good discipline to get into; thanking God for His love and His kindness towards us.

Each day we wake up, that day will have enough situations we must go through. So let us trust in the Lord. Lean on Him and call out to Him in all things. Jesus told us in Matthew 11:29, "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

Trust in Jesus - not the world, not our social status or our jobs, but in the Lord first and foremost. Trust Jesus as He wants the best for us.

Then David writes to tell us to let the Lord God teach us in the way we should walk. This is so important! Our enemy is always trying to lead us from Jesus so let Jesus teach us His way.

Ephesians 4:1 says: "Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called."

We have a mandate to walk as Christ walked. As Christians our walk should always be seen as Worthy of our Lord and Savior Jesus. He will teach us as we look to Him.

So each morning let us put our trust in the Lord and His unfailing love towards us. Let Him teach us His ways and He will make our road straight. His Love will always be with us and Jesus' love never fails us. Amen.
