Praying in Faith

"That they may all be one; even as You, Father are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me." John 17:21

What does it mean to pray in faith? For the Christian, faith means having confidence in the testimony of another, which means having confidence in Jesus Christ.

The Word of God clearly states that by believing in Jesus, a person can be forgiven and redeemed. Acts 4:12 "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved."

In Scripture, we often read that Jesus prayed and He prayed often. Jesus is our example and if He prayed, then we can do nothing less.

We are to make our prayers and requests known to the Lord in each and every circumstance that we face. We are told to boldly come before the Lord Jesus with our needs.

Hebrews 4:16 "Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need."

I believe that in our fast paced world, we need to be prayed up before we walk out the door of our homes. And in prayer, let us go to Jesus with confidence that He will hear us and He will give us His answer, in His time. So let us focus on the only God who saves, delivers, heals, redeems and restores us no matter what the trial or circumstance is.

Jesus loves us and He loves us with NO conditions added. The Father loves us and that is why He sent Jesus to die for us. Let God the Holy Spirit teach us and guide us through our time on earth.

So pray today and each day. Turn all things over to the Lord and He will help you to live according to His will.

Lord, thank you for always being there for us. You are only a prayer away. Let us be confident in our prayers, knowing our God is in complete control. Amen.
