These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. John 16:33
There’s been a false gospel going around for way too long now, declaring that once you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior that you will have no more problems. That is not true! Jesus makes it very clear in Scripture that you will face tribulation. In other words, you’re going to have problems in this life. God never promised us a life without problems. However, He did promise us things in His Word that will help us to get through any problem that we will face. What has God promised us? Well, let’s look at a few things.
1. God is with you
Isaiah 43:2- When you pass through the waters, I will be with you and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned nor shall the flame scorch you.
God promises that He will be there for us even when we feel like we’re not going to make it. He will never leave you nor forsake you. God is always with us. There is nothing to fear and for that reason we can praise Him!
2. God will strengthen and help you
Isaiah 41:10- Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
There are times in life when we don’t have the strength to go on. However, God promises to strengthen and help you by upholding you with His righteous right hand. God is not going to let you fall. He is with you and He’s going to get you through any problem that the enemy throws your way.
3. God will deliver you
Psalm 50:15- Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.
This is an amazing promise from the Lord! If you’re going through a difficult circumstance today, just call upon God (pray) and He will deliver you. It doesn’t matter what you’re facing because the God that we serve is awesome and powerful to deliver you from any problem.
Even though life may be tough, always remember that you have the victory through God’s promises.
