God Is Your Strength
My flesh and my heart fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26
Have you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by circumstances? There are times in life when it seems as if everything is going wrong. What should we do in those moments? Well, the good news is that God is our strength and He will help us to deal with anything that comes our way. It’s comforting to know that God is our strength, but we must ask ourselves one question. How does God’s strength help us? The answer to that question is found in two scriptures.
God’s strength will enable you to overcome anything.
Philippians 4:13- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
You can do anything through God’s strength. It doesn’t matter how many circumstances come your way. The Lord’s strength will empower you to overcome anything. We serve a powerful God that will strengthen you to overcome anything that Satan will throw your way. When you start to understand this truth, you will realize there’s no reason to feel overwhelmed by the problems of this world.
God’s strength will give you joy during difficult times.
Nehemiah 8:10- Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Nehemiah encourages the people not to be sorrowful, but to realize that the joy of the Lord is their strength. God’s strength will give you joy during difficult times. There are many times in life when sorrow and grief can overtake us and bring us to a place of defeat. However, the joy of the Lord will help you to overcome anything that comes your way. There’s no reason to feel overwhelmed for the joy of the Lord will help to overcome the attacks of Satan.
I want to encourage you today to know that through God’s strength, you can overcome anything that comes your way and His strength will empower you to have joy during difficult times. Always remember that God is your strength
