Psalm 27:1 "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; whom shall I dread?
As we leave the old year and begin to enter into the New Year, let us remember that Jesus is our guide. He is the one who will light up the road that we travel on.
Jesus is our salvation so why do we at times worry and fear? When our God is on our side, put fear into His hands and let Him calm and guide us into His absolute truth. We all know that in this world we will face disappointments and fears. But through Christ, who gives us His Mercy and Grace, we can overcome all disappointments and fears.
This new year begin to put the Lord first in all things. Before coffee, start to pray and ask the Lord to set up His light so our path will be filled with His light and not our own.
Psalm 119:105: "Your Word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path."
We all have heard or read this passage of Psalm 119, but we need to put this into our daily walk! Ask Jesus to remind you that He alone is your light and He is the strong tower we can turn into for help and protection and guidance.
Start 2018 with your hands in the hands of Jesus. Do not rely on the world but on the God of this universe who always wants the best for us. It is not the house, cars or money that will bring us peace. It is the Lord Himself who will flood our souls with His peace which is everlasting.
"You will never be happy if you try to base who you are on what you have" - what a great quote. Let us base who we are ONLY upon Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of our FAITH. Be Blessed in 2018. Amen.
