"Nevertheless I am continually with you; you have taken hold of my right hand. With Your counsel You will guide me, and afterward receive me to glory."
What a promise from our God! From when we were born until Jesus receives us home, we are always and continually in God's hands.
During our life time, there may be trials or circumstances that we find hard to tell others about. There could be any number of reasons for this. And during these times, we may find that we feel alone, that our God is not seeing what is happening to us.
But it is so important to know that Jesus is with us, even in our darkest moments. Psalm 23:4says, "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me."
We are sealed with the Holy Spirit. We have better protection than the President of the United States because we don't have a man watching over us, but we have the God of the universe protecting us.
We should never isolate ourselves from the Lord. Instead, we should stop and think about Jesus who willingly died for us, that He will never abandon us or leave us alone for even one minute. This is truth that we rely on because He said it to be so.
Lord, may we continue to hold onto Your hand and may we be strengthened from the inside out by You. Christians, let us continue to be in His presence and continue to be in an ongoing relationship with Jesus.
For our God is the only one who can and does redeem us and set us free from the slavery of sin and death. May Jesus receive all our praise and honor. Amen.
