Always Praise Jesus

February 13, 2019

Philippians 4:4 "Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!

We are to rejoice in the Lord Jesus always in all and every circumstances of life.  This does not mean if you or a family member gets a bad report from the doctor that we run up and down the street shouting and praising Jesus.

But it does mean that we who are in Christ are to trust Him, no matter what is going on in our lives, knowing that Jesus will lead us into His perfect peace and His perfect plan for you and me.

Sometimes life does not make sense and we try to figure out what is going on and how we should proceed.  Let go and give it to the Lord.

Look at David in the Old Testament.  God chose him to be king over Israel but David spent much time and energy in running away from King Saul who was trying to kill him.

David must have asked God what is going on and why he was not sitting on the throne yet.  I think that is a question you and I would ask and probably have asked the Lord about in our own situations.

God will take care of us in His time and in a way that He chooses.  Remember the battle is not ours but the Lord's and He will fight for us.

1st Peter 5:6-7 "Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you."

Our God loves us so much that He sent Jesus to die on the cross for you and me.  We need to remain faithful and humble towards our Lord and He will lift us up.

This Scripture says that we can bring all our anxieties, worries, and sickness and give them into Jesus' capable hands and then we can rest knowing our Lord has all under control.  Why?  Because He cares for you.  Amen
